Airline Highway
In “Airline Highway,” I focused on Miss Ruby, a character who embodies the essence and history of the community portrayed in the play. Although the play required realistic scenery, I infused elements of Burlesque and Cabaret to reflect Miss Ruby’s glorious past. My design explores the unique, albeit seemingly marginal, community, revealing the hidden brilliance and resilience beneath the surface decay and dust. Through this project, I wanted to show that by looking closely, one can find the shimmer hidden within each individual.
